I don't know how many people are familiar with him and frankly, he was often a real asshole against prochoicers but I did admire his conviction. Apparently he was a pilot (which I never knew) and his plane went down last week. He didn't survive the crash but his passengers did. He was a prolifer who browsers and participants of Prolifeamerica.com should be familiar with. I hated his photographing of women and girls as they entered and left women's clinics but I was utterly astounded and disbelieving when I heard he died. Just like that...blam. He wasn't sick, he wasn't terribly old...he just...went.

I'm ambiguous about my feelings. I feel grief but some part of me feels like a traitor for that. The guy spent a lot of his time harassing and stalking women, posting their pictures on the internet without their permission! Yet I'm sad, because as horrible as he seemed to me, he really believed in what he was doing and I can at least respect him for that.

I might get fried for saying this but I hope he found peace.

wow, just wow! That is shocking news. I wonder how old he was? What happened to the plane, I mean why did it crash?

Damn...that's horrible. While I vehemently disagreed with him on his views of abortion and thought he was an asshole by the way he treated women offline and at PLA, it's still sad that he was taken out by a plane crash. I didn't know he was a pilot either.

I did spar with him on PCT before I left it, but while he made me want to bang my head against something...from what I remember about him, he did seem a bit respectful towards me (although I'm sure he felt that was a wise idea considering I was a mod most of the time he was on PCT in the begining of his membership and that he couldn't get away with the crap he could've at PLA).

Either way, may he rest in peace.
