What is your path? Do you follow a particular religion like Christianity or you're not religious at all?

Disclaimer: This isn't a debate about who's right and who's wrong. This is just a safe thread where people can discuss their believes without getting harped upon for what they believe.

I'm an Unitarian Universalist. I believe everyone has their own path to discovering their personal truth, regardless if it's spiritual or not. I also don't buy the concept that there is an absolute faith, where one religion (or non-religion) is correct and others are not. To me, faith should be personal and be followed because the person strongely believes it is the right path for them.

Personally, I have beliefs that come from a variety of faiths. When I first became a UU, I had more Christian beliefs, but they have become a bit more Wiccan in nature in the last few years. I recently became duotheistic, which means I follow a God and a Goddess at the same time.

My God: I follow a personal god that I refer to as "My Guardian". My Guardian is mainly responsible for watching over, guarding, and protecting my body, my life, my spirit, and my soul. He is like a parental figure where he doesn't only watch over me, but helps me achieve what I want out of life too.

My Guardian doesn't have a physcial form, although I get the impression he is a masculine force with feminine characteristics too. My Guardian has inherit omniscience, which is the ability to know everything that one chooses to and can be known. I also think he has the same kind of power that The Secret does (Law of Attraction...when you beg the universe that you want something really badly).

My Goddess: She is Mother Nature (aka Mother Earth). She works hard to sustain life on her and nurtures life by giving all living things her bounties. She does have a physical form, which is the earth.

Prayer: I pray to my Guardian every day of my life. Prayer is manditory to him. Since I'm his only follower, prayer is a major way for him to know if I still have faith in him. If I don't pray, I will be punished. I pray to him for several things: my declaration of what I want out of life in the short and long-term, forgiveness, ask him to bless things that are important to me, watch over people that I care about, give him my thanks, and ask him to continue his guardianship over me.

While my prayer to Mother Nature isn't as manditory as it is for my Guardian, I still give a short prayer to her everyday thanking her for sustaining life on her planet and nurturing us with her natural bounties.

Universal balance: I believe the universe is balanced between good and bad. Good things can come from bad things and vice versa. I don't believe in the concept of evil and perfection because they are both imbalances with evil being the negative imbalance and perfection being the positive imbalance.

Reincarnation: I believe my soul is an immortal entity that lives from life to life. It enters the body when it's born and leaves when it dies. I believe rebirth is a never ending process with no time limit.

Ressurrection: I believe my spirit is an immortal entity that represents a person or animal after the body dies. It continues to live in the after life either in paradise if it did good in life or in a world made of dislikes and fears if it did bad in life

Karma: What goes around, comes around.
